Scripture: Joel 2:25“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten…”
Restoration is God’s heart for His people. What was lost, delayed, broken, or stolen is not beyond His reach. Scripture shows us that restoration comes when faith is activated. What does that mean to activate your faith?
Hebrews 11:1
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. (NLT)
Faith is believing that what we say, will come to pass. It is a deliberate confession, not just a casual act of saying something. (TPT)
Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.
My confession is based on a confidence deep down in my spirit that once I have said the words, nothing is going to make me into saying something else. So, how can I become or grow that confidence in my words? Romans 10:17 says that Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (NIV).
We must believe that God is able to restore even what we cannot see – it is that Trust in God that is the breeding grounds for the impossible.
2 Kings 8:6 “Restore everything that was hers…”
God does not only restore things—He restores time. Years of loss are not wasted in His hands. What feels gone forever is still recoverable with God.
Say this prayer right where you are; Lord, I trust You to restore what I cannot recover on my own. I place my past in Your hands. Amen.
Now trust that what you said will come to pass.
